Overload

In Overload, the mind is saturated, and perception collapses under too many streams of information, emotion, and internal noise.

Lines of yellow, orange, blue, green, gray, and dark red are poured straight from the tube and tangled in dense layers, with drops of paint at their ends. For all the chaos, the tangle keeps a shape — a tall vertical oval hanging in the turbulence.

The poured lines come from action painting, but here disorder presses against structure and instinct against restraint. Bright lines lie over a brown and maroon ground brushed with yellow and red at the edges, and the surface fills with pressure, breaks, and an unsteady rhythm.
