Inner Core

The painting shows an inner core — a dense center.

At the center sits a dark burgundy sphere, with a bright red ring running along its edge, strongest at the bottom. It emerges from the surrounding darkness, which makes the presence of the core more tangible.

The reds are laid on in soft, circling strokes and darken almost to black toward the edges of the sheet.
