Ascent of Energy

Ascent of Energy is built around a thick yellow outline of a figure — head and shoulders — set on a dark blue mountain. Inside it, a stream of white and red strokes runs from a glowing arch in the head down to the bottom edge, widening as it goes.

It is a painting about overcoming and growing from within. Red fills the whole sky — scarlet on the left, maroon above, crossed by orange hatching along the top and down the left side.
